                        Particle Society Scholarship

The Particle Society is pleased to announce the third year of the PSM Scholarship for Particle Science and Engineering

This scholarship program is aimed at graduate students performing research in particle-related basic science and applications. The goal of the program is to promote cutting edge particle science research, and to disseminate the results of that research to local companies. During the first year of the program, scholarships were awarded to students from the University of Minnesota departments of Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering/Material Science, and Mechanical Engineering, supporting work in nanoparticle xerography, aerosol particle detection, and quantum-dot based solar cells.

This year, the Particle Society again solicits applications from grad students working in any area of particle science or technology. The selection criteria for these scholarships include academic record, research progress and goals, publications, and career goals. Winners of the scholarship will be invited to present their research findings during a lunch presentation to the Particle Society membership. The scholarships will be awarded at the Particle Society fall dinner in October. Hope to see you there!

To APPLY you can download our application form in WORD or in PDF formats.

The deadline for submission of scholarship applications is June 30, 2008.
